Vanessa Kirn, Family Support Specialist
Vanessa works closely with D.C. families to answer their questions about WSF’s programs and she assists them with their scholarship applications and school searches. Fluent in Spanish, she frequently supports WSF’s Spanish speaking families. Vanessa is a recently returned Peace Corps volunteer; she served in Panama from 2005-2008 working in community development and emergency response in rural areas. Prior to Peace Corps, Vanessa worked as a paralegal in an Immigration Assistance Center in Tacoma, WA, and as a tutor with the Youth Opportunity Program in Seattle.
A native of Washington State, Vanessa has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Washington, Seattle.
