Bernie Schwartz, Latino Family Support Specialist
As WSF’s Latino Family Support Specialist, Bernie’s primary responsibility is to help Hispanic families in both of WSF’s scholarship programs. Bernie, who speaks fluent Spanish, assists Hispanic families with scholarship applications, guides families through school searches and answers any questions they might have About Us’s programs. In addition to assisting Hispanic families, Bernie helps to coordinate WSF’s Parent Empowerment Group meetings. Prior to joining WSF, Bernie worked as a communication specialist at ICMA Retirement Corporation and as a retirement plan representative at T. Rowe Price.
A graduate of Western Maryland College, Bernie also studied at the Center for Cross-Cultural Studies in Seville, Spain.
